On April 21, 2015, Google released a significant new mobile-friendly ranking algorithm that’s designed to give a boost to mobile-friendly pages in Google’s mobile search results.
The change, which took about a week to complete, is so significant that the date it actually happened referred to by a variety of different names. Here a couple interesting ones that we came across; Mobilegeddon, mobilepocalyse, mopocalypse or mobocalypse. If you you’ve come across any other interesting ones, please do share with us.
One of the best ways to prepare is to test that Google considers your web pages to be mobile-friendly is to use Google’s own Mobile-Friendly Test tool. In addition, you can analyse you site using our own SEO Analysis Tool
